Producers of English Sparkling Wine

On the medieval shores of Herstmonceux in East Sussex we have planted a vineyard to produce the finest English Sparkling wine. With an exceptional micro-climate, our vineyard has steep south facing slopes, and beautifully free draining soils to give the perfect terroir for our wine. Harvesting only a week after Champagne, the oustanding quality of this vineyard is evident.

Henners is a true estate wine. Only fruit grown in this unique place is used, enabling us to reveal excellence, character and a sense of place in the finished wines. Carefully hand-harvested and selected, the grapes are then gently pressed in our purpose-built winery only metres from the vineyard. After fermentation and blending the wines are bottled and left to develop in our cellars, only leaving Henners when they have reached peak maturity.

Classic Champagne varieties Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier have been planted, with a selection of clones and rootstocks to give an assemblage of flavours and aromas to our blends. The resulting wines have a soft mousse, deep complexity, and a long finish.
